POSTED 4/17/10: HEAT teams u11, u13, u15, and u17 will be particpating in the HOOPS CHALLENGE SUPER SERIES at the

SPORTSZONE CENTER in EDISON NJ.

GAME TIMES FOR SATURDAY:

U11: 4 & 6PM, U13: 11AM & 1PM, U15: 3 & 5PM, U17: 3 & 6PM.

AAU SUPER-REGIONALS

NEW HAVEN CT UPDATE:

CONGRATULATIONS to the u11- u15 boys teams that COMPETED IN THE AAU SUPER REGIONALS in NEW HAVEN CT.

U11s 0-3 , lost 2 close games that could have went either way.

U12s 1-2, played hard and looks promising with their new player in the middle KHAMANI DIGGS!

U13s 1-2, squeeked by the BOSTON BLUE CHIPS, progressing and chemistry getting better.

U14s 1-2, played hard, eventhough missing some pieces!

U15s 1-1 in pool play, advanced. Won 1st game in playoffs NEW HAVEN BASKETBALL CLUB-advanced to FINALS.

Lost to MIDDLETOWN BULLDOGS in the CHAMPX- EARNED A D2 BID TO NATIONALS.

POSTED 1/12/10: U13 BOYS will be traveling to Springfield, Mass. to compete in the JR HOOPHALL CLASSIC @ SPRINGFIELD COLLEGE

U14 BOYS will be playing in the Lakewood League again this year.

U13 BOYS are playing in the TEAM MVP league in Trenton @ 11am at the WEST WARD RECREATION CENTER,

located 351 Prospect Street Trenton NJ. The games will continue on Saturdays at the same time. A schedule

will be out shortly.

U12 and U11 boys will be playing in the Lakewood League, also. Games will start Dec 5. and will be played

at the Lakewood Middle School. All games are on Saturdays. Schedule will be out shortly.

Congratulations to Mid-Jersey Heat U12 team for their success at the USBA Nationals. It was a learning experience for all of them! We finished 2-2 down in Myrtle Beach! We went 2-1 in pool play. The HEAT beat the TRIAD LAKERS of Burlington, NC, lost to VIRGINIA WARRIORS-WADE, then beat the NC ELITE. After pool play the HEAT were seeded 11th for the championship bracket. This round was win or go home! We lost the bracket game by 3 points.

Congratulations to the U12 BOYS for winning the NIKE JR NATIONALS-HERSHEY PARK SHOWCASE CHAMPIONSHIP! The Heat defeated Maryland Dream Team for the championship. Lets keep preparing, focusing, and reaching our goals....

U11 BOYS: Great job in playing up in the U12 DIVISION. Keep up the hard work!

U12 BOYS: Good job, taking care of business and winning the championship against the CHOSEN ONES of Ewing, NJ. Continue building the machine!

U13 BOYS: Excellent team work and effort.

U14 BOYS: Keep up the hard work, congrats in making it to the finals and coming up short. We will continue to build!

U16 BOYS: Welcome back! Congrats in reuninting together to place second in your division.

USBA NJ STATE CHAMPIONSHIP:

Congratulations to the MJH U12 Boys for winning the 2009 USBA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. The boys beat NJ Jagz and lost to Harvest Knights in pool play. In bracket play they beat Ocean Basketball Club, then went on to beat the Harvest Knights in the championship game. Keep up the intensity!!

AAU Super Regional hosted by Elite Sports Events:

The MJH Boys U11 finished with a 1-2 record. The U11 had a slow start on Saturday's and suffered 2 losses, but showed a complete turn around on Sunday with a strong team performance and win against New Castle. U11 Boys learned that mental preparation is as important as physical preprations. Great Job U11s! --posted by Coach Rommie.

MJH U13 finished with a 1-2 record. The U13 played a very competitive tournament and overall showed very good team effort. Although the U13 has some new pieces, they are starting to come together as a unit, and will be force in the region.. Coaching Staff is looking for great things from the U13s. Keep work hard... Congratulations to the MJH Boys U14 who won a bid to DIV II AAU Nationals and is eligible for AAU Div II And Div III Nationals. The U14 Boys won their pool, ended with a 3-1 record, and made to the semi-final game but fell short to the NY Vipers. The team displayed very solid all around team and individual effort. The MJH Boys U11 finished with a 2-2 record and fell short in the semi-finals against the Super Academy. So far, the Boys U11 definately played their best trounament at the March Madness at the Shore. Individually the U11 Boys showed continued improvement and are getting more confortable. As a team, we see continued team play that is improving both offensively and defiensively at each tournament game. Great Job Boys! --posted by Coach Sean.

Another Championships for the MJH Boys U12. Boy's U12 beat Team NJ Triple Threat in the U12 Finals of the March Madness at the Shore and captured its second title in the 2009 season. The Final game was filled with high emotions and excitement even though it was the final game of the tournament, and the only ones left to watch were the parents from both teams. Overall, the Boys U12 showed their toughness and composure throughout the game. The win was a complete team effort! ... Great Job Boys! Keep working hard. ---post by Coach Rommie.

2009 USBA March Madness at the Shore U12 Champions

Hello MJH Parents, Players and Friends,

I'd like to congratulate the U11 and U12 for a successful weekend at the HoopGroup HQ Presidents Day Weekend Showdown .

The MJH Boys U11 finished with a 1-2 record and made it to the finals but came up short against NYC based SCANS. The Boys U11 played short handed on the final day of the tournament, but they showed toughness and continued improvement. Keep working hard, we are proud of your effort!

The MJH Boys U12 finished with a 3-0 record and captured the HoopGroup HQ Presidents Day Weekend Showdown U12 Championships by beating the NJ Shoreshots. The final game was very competitive, hard faught and very exciting. The Boys U12 showed composure and toughness during ciritical parts of the game, and they were able to pull out a win during the final seconds. Great Job Boys! Keep working hard.

Hello MJH Parents, Players and Friends,

I'd like to congratulate the U11 and U12 for their effort and willingness to improve. The MJH Coaching staff is very proud of the effort our Boys U11 and U12 demonstrated at the Basketball Spotlight Holiday Tournament and JSL Hoops MLK Tournament. Both tournaments featured top level AAU teams from the NJ, NY and PA regions, and we feel our teams was very competitive at each tournament. So, continue to learn, work hard, and at the end it will pay-off with improved individual and team play.

It’s an exciting time for the Mid-Jersey Heat Basketball, as we enter our 6th year, our club continues to grow with the addition of new Boys U11 Team, new members to the Boys U12, U13, and U14 teams. The MJH Administrative and Coaching staff would like say “Welcome to the Heat Family”.

For 2008-2009 MJH Administrative and Coaching staff is looking forward to a successful season. Mid-Jersey Heat Rolling Try-outs

Mid-Jersey Heat Basketball Club will conduct rolling tryouts for Boys U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 teams throughout the Fall/Winter and early Spring months.
